The electric furnace is an important process equipment in the steelmaking industry, and in the smelting process, it is necessary to deliver tens of kiloamperes or even hundreds of kiloamperes of powerful current to the furnace, and such a large current is delivered by the short net.

    Short network, also known as high-current bus line, is a general term for the current-carrying body from the secondary outlet end of the transformer to the electrode (including the electrode).

Components of a short network

The short net components are divided into the following parts:

(1) Compensator I I connects the low voltage end of the furnace transformer with the fixed part of the short net.

(2) busbar row - the longest fixed part of the short network, which can be a rectangular copper row, can also be water-cooled copper pipe.

(3) Fixed connection block - for connecting the water-cooled flexible cable from the busbar to the shortnet and for transferring the current.

4) Water-cooled flexible cable for transferring the current from the fixed coupling block to the copper electrode holder.
